The start of the journey

Hello possums!

Sorry it took so long for my first proper post – I’ve been gearing myself up for it. So I thought I’d start from the beginning.

So much seems to have happened since we saw everyone. A completely manic week of fantastic going away parties – thanks so much to Emma for organising and everyone who came; the effort was much appreciated. Then the joy of packing up our entire flat, which I will never be so disorganised about doing again!!! I have no idea how I thought we were going to get rid of all our furniture in such short notice, but a brain wave suddenly hit and 4 van trips later (plus a last minute stop in by us on our way to Bexhill) Stephen & Emma Dawson have so much Posh & Becs memorabilia, they could open a museum!! Fantastic news all round. (can someone let me know what baby they’ve had? thanks!)

We were also amazingly blessed by having a shipping company doing another job for the lady down the hall 2 days before we had to be out and I hadn’t made any arrangements for getting our stuff to Aus! yes, I know, but the Big G came through!!!

Anyways, it calmed down a little (but only a little) at the weekend when my parents came down to stay in Bexhill (where Bec is from) and we had a lovely weekend before we flew out on a very dreary last Sunday in July. Needless to say, we arrived in Singapore pretty tired…

Final week of work

Monday, July 18th, 2005

It’s a warm and sunny Monday afternoon, and I really don’t want to be at work, probably like most people, except I will be finished in 4 days. That really is the first milestone I’m very excited about. 3 1/2 years really is way too long in this job… It has served a purpose though.

Rather dull first post, but I’m just warming up ;-)
